The Chico Men’s Rugby Club welcomes all to join our organization. We are more than just a rugby team, we are an organization that has year around functions including networking activities, fundraisers and charity events.

We believe that in order to be successful in rugby that we must be successful in life. We encourage this through our core values and team laws.

We require every member of our club to agree to uphold our core values and abide by our team laws.

Core Values

A modest or low view of one’s own importance; humbleness.
“You can not achieve stratospheric success with out having your feet firmly planted on the ground.” – Andrew Mehrtens, All Blacks

Sportsmanship is the foundation upon which rugby union is built. We uphold the rugby tradition of camaraderie with teammates and opposition. We observe fair play both on and off the pitch and are generous in victory and dignified in defeat.

“Teamwork is essential to our sport. We welcome all team members and include all because working as a team enriches our lives.” – England Rugby

Enjoyment is the reason why we play rugby and why we support the club. Through rugby we promote a fun and healthy lifestyle that leads to full enjoyment in life.

The quality of being hones and having strong moral principles. Integrity is everything, choosing your thoughts and actions based on values rather than personal gain.

Having little or no concern for oneself, especially with regard to fame, position, money, etc; unselfish.

The whole point of joining the Chico Rugby Club is to achieve on and off the field, personally and as an organization.
